Hi, does anyone know when the 2E/2M/2W/2I callsigns will be changing to M8/M9 callsigns, and how your logbook can be transferred to uour new callsign?
A QRZ logbook is only good for one callsign. If your callsign changes you'll need to start a new logbook in order to log contacts using it. You will not lose any QSLs, awards, and the like, but only one callsign per logbook.
Hi, as of now you can change your 2E0 call to either an M8 or M9 very easy I've done mine. just need to change my call sign on here now.
It is important to note that members SHOULD NOT create a new account for the new M8 or M9 callsign. Instead, they should submit a support ticket at https://ssl.qrz.com/support requesting a callsign and user name change from their 2E0 call to the M8/M9 call. We'll be looking for duplicate accounts and you don't want to get your accounts deactivated by violating QRZ policy against multiple accounts.
Thanks for the reply I've just done the above /ssl.qrz.com/support and it's been done by admin very easy thank you for all the help guys very much appreciated M9KTM
Is this restricted to changing 2E0 call signs? I'm thinking of changing my callsign to something that is easier to send in CW... Martin G8FXC
I'm not sure I think you are now able to change your original call sign I would suggest give the ladies at Ofcom a call. They are very helpful or log in and try yourself. I did also revoke my old M6 call as they are trying to slim it all down. One call sign per person it make sense as you progress.
I was expecting to be able to do it on-line... They were saying that the updates to the licencing IT system was taking linger than they had expected... Martin (G8FXC)
OK - just took a look in the OFCOM web site and the fields are now on the forms to change your callsign but, for me at least, they are disabled. Perhaps they would be active if I held a "2x0" callsign? Martin (G8FXC)
