I have a Yaesu quad band in my truck. Very, very little activity on 6 and 10 meters. Probably not enough to justify having those bands. If you intend to upgrade to General I concur that an HF/VHF/UHF all in one box radio is a good way to go. Then if 6 and/or 10 is open you have them available in all modes. The Yaesu quad is FM only

Thanks to everyone for all of the help! I am finishing up my install (waiting on Amazon for a few more items), but most of the hard work is done. I ended up going with an ICOM-5100A mated to a Larsen NMO 2/70. I will post a few pics once I get finished! Any good threads (or advice) on how to set up the memory for the 5100A? I live in Florida and would like to be able to keep a set of repeaters in memory that will take me from our home area in Orlando, up to Atlanta GA, down to the Keys and across the state to the Tampa area.
