Why would ICOM make a radio that goes to 70cm and put TWO SO-239 connectors on it?

It's almost insulting, do they really think we can't put a
    "N" or BNC connector together?

I just went to both icomamerica.com and Icom Japan's site and neither site have the IC-7000 listed yet.

RigPix has it, but none of the Icom sites do. How is it that there's no price on Icom's site?

Will the IC-706 be offered at a clearence price? I hope so, I'll buy one in a heart beat if the price drops a bit. The IC-706 will fit in my Focus nicely. [IMG]

My QST arrived in the mail yesterday, and the IC-7000 made the inside front cover. Real cool ad, but I wonder if the wife/girlfriend with the doughroller might be griping about the cost of the rig too........? (giggle):D

"Icom has indicated that this model will not replace the 706MkIIG and is expected December 2005."
    -Universal Radio Site

    Time to start hinting.
