Yep. It's so flat in Florida and surrounding area that you can work repeaters.

WMBB had it's weather sensing equipment ripped off the roof.

Apparently winds are at 155mph. Unknown if that's a gust.

No response required. All you would do is get in the way.

and you know this for sure? Tell it to the Emergency Managers in the Panhandle. Tell it to all the VOADs that will be responding to the area. This country was built by volunteer labor assisting the full time professionals. Stop hating until you know the true situation. This is going to be a long lasting disaster. Volunteers of any kind will be needed.

Projected to curve to the East away from my family.

I expect the Cajun Navy will be out in force!

The hurricane net was very active even though I could not hear all of it in Michigan. NWS in Miami was on the net and was asking for amplification of certain reports- especially barometric pressure and wind speed.

Who knows what involvement the hams will have after it passes? My assumption at the moment is that several areas will be laid flat from the 155mph winds. I'm sure reports will be forthcoming.

    You all know the drill...

A damage assessment will be conducted by officials before any voluntary response efforts can occur.
