New firmware Icom IC-7300

    If you do it now, it'll look like a completely different radio. At the very least, it'll look like you've got 2 radios.:D

    bah it overwrote my preferences. what a piece of crap. i want a refund.

    I updated my rig last week, and then re-loaded my settings. The radio's performance seems exactly as it was before.

    My low ssb is still there.
    I emailed icom they told me I’m basically stupid.

    Very bad customer service

    You guys with the low power output, have you tried cutting out the excess on the DC cable?

    I just bought a new IC-7300. I applied power and got the following message. No signal, no audio and no power out. I check software versions and got the second screen shot. I tried to upgrade firmware and it fails half-way through the install with no change to versions.

    Am I missing something or is this a defect ?

    Hi there, surely looks like a defect IMO.

    Try a full reset (menu->set->others->reset->all reset) and see what's happening. I don't think there's anything more you can do - if that doesn't work, return it.
