Another perhaps Minor thing but could be Major depending on the user and their preferences: There is no accessory jack and the MIC Jack does NOT have a PTT line. This means no digital modes. The design of the MIC interface even precludes Tiger Electronics from being able to design a USB Signalink Interface to the radio. This makes the AT-578 a VERY odd bird. It's a real head twister. There is one documented modification/Hack out there that involves adding an additional Jack to the actual MIC case AND four internal soldering joints inside the MIC so useable audio lines can be routed to and from a Signalink and MIC .
