Put down the pitchforks folks. I am over 60 myself.
You are right Ed, maybe i will dismantle the amplifier and resell as used part or refurbished with one couple matched with modify on pcb and components.
All transistors must be matched for it to operate correctly.
What transistors are in the amp?
Does RFParts have them?
Was it ever?

If RF Parts does have them, I'd get them there anyway. They run a pretty tight ship.
NEVER MORE TE-SYSTEM
Two meter signals so beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By a fading signal and all the QSB it wore,
An amplifier still is needed, I said this as I conceded
And saw smoke emitting from the chassis, sneaking down to the shack floor.
Tell me, why should I buy another amp from your small and shoddy store?
Quoth the operator: "Nevermore."

My big TE's, have stood the test of time with very had use, no problems, even with the preamps
amplifier uses 2sc2782 or equivalent mrf247. I asked to RFParts but they do not sell/send outside of usa in order to keep these obsolete devices for national market.
my TE,also, stood the the test of time with very hard use, but a defective cable....in short circuit...
You yungun's have no respect for your elders!
