Log? We don't need no stinking log. The FCC says so.
Most people keep one anyway. If he doesn't. he should start in an effort to resolve the problem.
Seems like everyone is itching for a fight, and there might be one, but I'd try to work with the neighbor no matter how batty she appears before using the old "But I'm not doing anything wrong!" response. But, that's just me.
Keeping a log is a pointless endeavor for this particular situation.
There's no reasoning with some people.
Here, they turned the 108 pilot freq off!! They only shoot something when they are LOOKING!!
OK, Whatever happened to this guy. MAN, he had some great interviews, with great Guests!
Agreed, crazy folks or not, we need to represent in a responsible and respectful manner. Prove through our own actions that we are a very highly disciplined group of enthusiasts that have a positive contribution to provide to society.
Ham radio is not just a silly hobby. The privledge to operate and use prime portions of spectrum is sacred!
Paul is dead
She apparently mentioned it on several shows. She called J. Edgar to report a spy network.
Only the Walrus and the Eggman know.
The "general public" are definitely a bit of a trial!
Where I live, there was another Amateur in the next street, with a nice big tower.
After he moved out, I was working in the front yard, when I fell into conversation with one of the (not so near) neighbours.
He was getting upset about his TV reception, complaining sbout something that sounded a lot like a receiver fault to me.
He went on to say:- "It's that CB bloke with the big aerial doing it!"
I pointed out that "the bloke" had been gone for about 6 months, taking his "big aerial" with him, & asked him if he had another TV to compare with the one with problems.
" Yeah! I've got a little one--- it's OK"
Me :- "Well?"
You could almost see the light bulb turning on in his head -- although it was more like a dial light!
He mumbled something, & headed off home.
When I worked at a TV Studio, I was walking through Master Control, when the phone rang.
I picked it up .
A indignant voice said "What's wrong with your transmitter?"
"Nothing I can see Sir, what seems to be the trouble?"
"It's awful, there are black bars all over the screen!"
"Have you checked the other stations?
"Yeah, they're all like that!----------Ohhh!"
Or the other viewer who rang up to complain about the "filth" we were putting to air.
"But Sir, we have a Sports programme on!"
