NEETS is neat

    This is probably old news to old geezers, but if you want to get a really good introduction to real electronics, above and beyond what's required for the ham license, it's hard to beat NEETS, the old Naval Electrical and Electronics Training Systerm.

    This material has been used in top notch trade schools for decades. There's a tad of obsolete material there, (which is constantly being upgraded), but the theory sections are the best on the planet. A lot of the material is engineering level. I refer to it a lot in my 'lectronics classes, but it's good for any ham.

    Anyway... NEETS came along AFTER I left the Navy.
