    I just ordered one for $42 that will probably make my other two antenna analyzers obsolete.

    There appear to be many clones of this open source design. Here's a re-posting from a Groups.IO NanoVNA posting:

    "Hugen did a significant redesign of the edy555 vna, and clearly knows how to build them.
    I see three different marketplaces from which to buy one of Hugen's builds

    You can buy from him through taobao,
    though you have to deal with a website in Chinese and $20 shipping charges:

    There is taobaoFOCUS, an English language shop that resells stuff from taobao:

    Hugen has suggested going through his friend on Alibaba.
    Note that the price drops to US$35 if you buy in quantity,
    an excellent choice for a club:

    Many thanks to Hugen and edy555 for all the effort they have put into
    creating this fantastic device. Jerry, KE7ER"

    The NanoVNA quite possibly has more computing power than this behemoth of the 1970s;

    An early Hewlett Packard VNA, tended by one of the great pioneers of network analysis, Les Besser.

    The initials, VNA (vector network analyzer) seem to frighten away some non-technical hams but a 2-port VNA can always be used as a 1-port Antenna Analyzer. With that in mind, owners of the NanoVNA have their choice of installing either Antenna Analyzer software or Vector Network Analyzer software. Since this device is the result of an open-source project, we can bet that lots of useful add-ons will be coming down the pike. One can even learn how to program in one's own features.

    I just received my 3D printed case for the NanoVNA. Got it on a forum. I'll report back when it's all together.

    Someone suggested that those really cheap ones are factory rejects that don't meet specs and have been sold cheap to individual entrepreneurs. I also ordered one of the $17 ones just to satisfy my curiosity.
