Eugene F Ribas, Jr, N4UMI SK Eugene "Gene" Frank Ribas Jr. March 10, 1953 – May 2, 2023 Eugene Ribas, Jr, age 70, of Tobaccoville passed away May 2, 2023. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home 1900 Vanstory St, Greensboro, NC, officiated by Rabbi Gidon Issacs and Barbara Collins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Triad Sports Car Club for the Ribas Legacy Fund 3125 Hyde Place Cir. Winston Salem NC 27103 Gene was born March 10, 1953 to the late Eugene and Charlene Ribas (Hill). He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce Ribas of the home; daughter, Tara Clontz and son in law, Dale Clontz of Greenbrier, TN; and granddaughter, Abigayle. Adopted daughter, Laura Davis of New Salem, NC and grandson Nicholas. His brother, Joseph B Ribas, Sr (Jennifer) and nieces and nephews. After retiring from the trucking industry in 1988, Gene pursued his love of computers and all things electronics. He was an amateur radio operator, N4UMI, private pilot, motorcyclist and race car driver. He spent his final years designing the KeeniTop, a bikini top for performance vehicles. Gene was a member of B’Nai Israel Synagogue in High Point, NC and enjoyed being a lay leader within the congregation.
