    From the Pottstown, Pennsylvania "Mercury" October 25, 2009:

    Michael P. Breyer, 37, beloved husband of Amy (Finkbiner) Breyer of Pottstown, died on Friday after a brief illness.

    Born in Norristown, Michael is the son of Paul and Linda (Smith) Breyer. He resided most of his life in the Pottstown area.

    Michael was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School and the Montgomery County Vocational Technical School.

    He was employed as an auto mechanic and was the owner and operator of Import Repair Specialties. He was a member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville. Michael loved CB radio and was a HAM radio operator.

    He also enjoyed ATVs, camping and fishing.

    In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a grandfather, Norman P. Breyer; two stepsons, Ryan and Kyle Johnson; a sister, Janice, wife of Sean Carrigan, of Wyoming; and several aunts and uncles, two nephews and one niece.

    His funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the St. Eleanor Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426. The Rev. Patrick Sweeney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Thursday morning in the church from 9 to 11 a.m.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County Association for the Blind, 212 N. Main St., North Wales PA 19454 or to the Michael Breyer Memorial Fund, C/O Citizens Bank, 429 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick PA 19468.

    The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at sgsfuneralhome.com.
