On Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, Don Horton - N1ISB became a silent key. He was 58.

Don was often called "The Voice of the Berkshires". He was a resident of Adams Massachusetts, and a active member of the Northern Berkshire Amateur Radio Club. He could be heard most nights of the week, on the 146.910 machine located on Mount Graylock in Western Massachusetts, where he would assist other 'HAMS' any way he could.

He was most often the first voice heard on Amateur Radio, for some new users, when he hosted the 'NewComers Net' on the '91' machine.

It was his hobby and part of his life. He will be missed.
