    Greetings all.
Is there someplace I can send my old J-38 to be reconditioned and polished up?

I refuse to believe that this is a serious post. But, if it is, give it to your wife. She will know what to do. Added bonus: no shipping cost.

Where can I send my electric toothbrush to be cleaned and re-bristled ?
I am afraid to do it because of the electricity in it.

I wonder if the OP wants his replated?

    That could be it.

Maybe it has been self polished to much.

I need to polish up my Morse code. I am a bit rusty.

Can You post a picture of it Bill ? Maybe we can have a party and polish it off. :D

    Good Luck on your project.

Flitz and Nevr-dull should clean anything up. For stubborn rust on chrome, I've found that a ball of aluminum foil dipped in cola will take it off.

There are no chrome plated parts on any J-38 that I know of. The metal parts are either brass or just plain steel and those are pretty easy to clean, and polish. The bakelite base, and knobs, can also be cleaned, and polished, with only a little bit of effort.
