Mr C is finding the troubles with this onboard switch-mode power supply. I think you'll find this as interesting as I did! (And I don't even have one of these.) Lots of expertise with many tips included here. He even walks you through the schematic and shows you where the current passes through the actual components on the board. I like this guy.
