The Graz Morse Code School has developed a completely free self study course for amateurs to download. The course utilises the popular Morserino32 learning device; free documentation and exercise plan, plus a series of videos that enable any aspiring ham to learn Morse code from the comfort of their own home.

    CW Course Introduction:

    Programming the Morserino32:

    Lessons 1 & 2:

The course takes advantage of the 'Snapshot' feature that was included in recent firmware updates. This allows users to store and recall the configuration of the entire device including menu settings, depending on how they wish to use it.

The necessary documentation can be downloaded from the ÖVSV website:

The Morserino32 is available directly from Willi Kraml (OE1WKL):

There's never been a better time to bite the bullet and start learning Morse code.

Hopefully, more hams will come to realize you get the biggest bang for the fewest bucks on cw.

The Morserino is a really fun device. My paddles never worked properly. But I have my own key so not a big deal, and better to train with what I would be using anyway.

Ordered my Morserino a couple of weeks ago, hopefully it should be here soon. Really looking forward to it's arrival and starting the new course. Been practicing on an MFJ 557 straight key for about a month now, along with LCWO on line. Having great fun learning the code and I seem to be making good progress (some days). I'm nowhere near proficient yet but i guess if i keep practicing I can only improve.

Unfortunately, the will to practice is the one thing no one can sell you.

You've got to make the learning FUN, rather than a job or an obligation.
And if you set reasonable expectations for yourself it will work....paul
