I’ve one extra Butternut HF2V, which I’m thinking to use for the 30 and 60 meters. I know, that there is 30 m kit available from the manufacturer, but I’m not talking about it.

My goal is to get the modified HF2V to work only on these two bands (30/60m), I’ve no needs to use this antenna for 40/80 meters at all. My problem is though that, I don’t know, what changes I should make to the original construction to get the antenna working on 30/60m.

It’s of course very easy just to build a ¼ wave GP to 30 or 60 m, but what about modification of HF2V to get it tuned on 30/60m?

I almost certainly need to shorten the HF2V a bit and have to use some other capacitor as well as the coils should be modified somehow, but in order to do that, I don’t know about the required details.

    Any ideas how to proceed?
