I wrote a simple 1-page site, "QRZ Who's calling me", to help me quickly lookup a DMR ID or callsign from the DMR database that wasn't already loaded into my DMR radio.

Typically when walking the dog with my DMR radio, I'll want to look up a DMR ID or callsign but it involves multiple clicks, scrolls, zooms - just making it a little more difficult that it should be while I'm out and about.

The solution was a simple 1-page site where I can lookup a DMR ID or callsign and see the person's info from the DMR database, along with a country flag and a profile picture if available.

Recent updates include a "Feeling Lucky" search button just to spice things up.

I'm hoping for feedback from mobile phone users:

It works well, but of course another site that won't work with Internet Explorer.

Took a deep dive on this one...

IE has 3 errors combined on page load and when clicking search
    1. not defined error with javascript functions
    2. invalid character error with back ticks
    3. syntax error with the bootstrap css bundle

In the IE debugger, when I click the suggested link to remedy the issue the Microsoft page that loads says, "This page better viewed with Microsoft Edge"

In light of the above information, I tested in Microsoft Edge and the site works, so setting this ticket to "Won't Fix". IE no longer appears to be a supported browser for modern web sites.

When closing out the browser, Windows popped up the following message:

"Internet Explorer is going away soon. We recommend you upgrade to Microsoft Edge for a seamless transition"

Worked OK in Firefox, that's all I care about. I have issues with Edge and how it handles tabs.

I noticed it will not look up a DMR repeater ID.

Thoughts on adding SSL/TLS to the dmrqrz.com site?

Thanks again for making this site! Very useful!
