I'm considering getting a mobile rig for my car. I haven't decided on a radio yet. I'd like a 2m all mode that can be easily removed for use at home base. My biggest concern is doing the install with minimal modification to the existing electronics so the car can be returned to stock condition in a few years.

Anyone here have a 2013 thru 2015 MKz with a rig installed? I presume there is little to no difference in this range of model years, mine is a '13. If so how hard was it to accomplish? If you had to do it all over what would you do differently?

I know this is an old string, but I recently purchased a 2013 MKZ and will be installing an ID-5100. How did you finally complete install on your vehicle, and anything I should be aware of?? I'll also check out K0BG's web page.
