    I contacted this friendly Ham, who has a simple way of living.
    Johan is CW only, as far as I can tell, and has really good fist.
    If I recall rightly, he runs about 10 W per horse-power, CW.

    You got to love his simpler way of living.

    Nice set up. I do horseback mobile a lot with dual band ht. I used to do hf with Kenwood TS 50. I still have the get up but have not done that in quite a while. One year, ARRL had to rule on how to count my contacts on Field Day. They classified me Mobile. I had made several 40 meter contacts that day. As soon as the first guy found out my antenna was on the back of the horse above his tail. Everybody wanted to talk to a real horse's rear end...I had 3 people logging for me then....k
