    Yep... 99% of the covenants I reviewed were mostly copy-and-paste from each other. And you could tell when techie people started moving into the new subdivisions, because the "no antenna" provisions would start disappearing from the newer lots as the subdivision expanded. ;)

    I know more and more people who put up non-ham antennas of all shapes and sizes for all sorts of reasons, even in very expensive subdivisions. Internet and OTA TV are the most common. People are tired of cable and satellite bills, and even more tired of not getting the programming they want via their cable and/or satellite. So they put up "free TV" antennas and watch that. And as they move further from urban centers, the required antennas are getting larger and taller. We may soon reach a point where a modest HF antenna is small compared to the "20G" wireless internet mega-pipe antenna at the house next door. ;)
