    Michael John Bottema, Mike K8EX, aged 71 died on June 12, 2018. He is survived by his children Mike & Cathy (William, John) Heather & Matt Ciantar (Kendall, Claire, Elise), his brothers Pete(Karen), Jim(Lori), and sister Arlene (Kevin) Van Heukelom, 5 nieces, 1 nephew. Mike served in the Michigan National Guard and was an avid amateur radio operator who liked to be known as Echo Xray. Mike also loved sailing. A memorial service led by Rev Arie Leder, weill be held at 1 pm Tuesday August 14, 2018 at the Plymouth Heights CRC Grand Rapids. Published in Grand Rapids Press on Aug. 12, 2018
