    This is another big deal; this very well could make portable operations easier, smaller, and use less valuable power. I think Pat needs one of these for his GO KIT...

    Desperate and shrewd!

    The good thing for Microsoft (bad for us) is that developers won't port their software to other OSs so we can run it on there.

    right. they're going to port their biggest, most bloated, resource-hog of an operating system to the wimpiest hardware in production.

    We will just have to wait and see.
    As for Windows being bloated, they have done a lot to slim down the OS.
    Usually what makes Windows boated is the stuff the User adds, most of which is usually not even necessary to getting work done.


    When you compare the hardware available in this new Raspi it is on a par with a computer from six to eight years ago or even newer.

    I have a friend that actually installed all versions of Windows from 95 to 8. The versions used less and less resources as they progressed. I still hate Microsoft though.
