Michael Bloomberg was a ham, EIEIO.

The truth is that he wanted to talk to his USAF Generals buddies in the SAC who were running aeronautical mobile on the ham bands from B-52's, etc who later convinced him to run. He was a USAF Major General in the reserves as well as a sitting US Senator.

If Bloomberg was undecided between Yaesu, Icom or Kenwood; he could just buy all three companies.
Then, maybe he could change their names, to Collins, Hallicrafters, and Swan. If wishes were horses...
