A heads-up for portable operators planning Memorial Day weekend activations. A new OTA program, Tiles on the Air, is running an event called "Honor & Activate" from Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25 UTC. It stacks with POTA, SOTA, or just a simple portable session at a local park. What it is: activate any Maidenhead grid subsquare during the window. Whatever you were planning to do anyway counts. Consider dedicating the activation to a veteran or service member in the activation's diary, with a photo if you have one. Memorial Day in the United States honors those who died in military service; operators from any nation are invited to participate and dedicate to a veteran of their choosing. I will dedicate it to my grandfather, who served in the Argentine Air Force. Program Rules: https://tilesontheair.com/Rules There is no special form, no separate logging path. A "Memorial Day '26" chip will automatically attach to any activation logged within the window, linking to a public event page with live activity stats and a showcase of tribute diaries. The website handles cross-posting to POTA on self-spot. Pass the word Facundo, KK4ODA
