So as I am getting back on the air, I was doing some log maintenance and record keeping and I exceeded 100 look-ups in a 24 hour period. It'll probably never happen again, especially if I stay current on my logging. With that said, how is the 24 hour period measured, so I know when I'm OK to try again? Thanks!
It's based on how many lookups in a UTC day. QRZ runs on the UTC time zone. The vast majority of users won't ever exceed the "100 lookups a day" for non-subscribers. It's only when you get into contesting, POTA, or other activities where you're looking up call after call via your logging software that you will "hit the rev limiter". In fact, while I joined QRZ in 2006 it was never an issue for me. But I became a subscriber way back in 2012 when I really got active in contests and hit the limit during CQWW Dave W7UUU
