IMPORTANT: Be sure to actually download it to read - if you merely use Preview mode, the external links won't work! Also, to open a link, "Right Click" > "Open in New Tab". The software I use unfortunately doesn't support "targeted links"... unless you right click, you will leave the document.

Here's a lower res version for slower connections:

What a nice editorial. Adam - W2NCC his words in the President's Corner are on the point. Its the year 2025, and the hobby offers other ways of communication, than others think about. Or its here more the way of using the latest technology in another way, than the "normal" public will use it. And of course the technology brings people much more nearer together, than often awaited.
Further sometimes such things like continents, oceans or the normal distance of more than 10000 km and more is not in the mind anymore. So it can be, that sometimes people can get afraid when they realize of how near they got to other people and this maybe without seeing or touching. A Beamer is now to invent.

It began with the D-Star, DMR and C4FM to get in touch so near and have contact from a station in Europe to a mobile in America. Here just for to see with C4FM, that the GPS distance calculation is moving on the pixy. At next to talk together like near friends in the own city and local repeater, but forgotten the distance for to have a cup of coffee together, which is then much to big. Borders and other obstactels went away for a while. This all is a big step forward to keep in touch. And new operators should think about how near they will become, when they were haters or trolls in the internet and dont change the own behave. All this is now possibel and thats what ham radio keeps it worth for the future.

I don't know if I'll ever get over the fame and fortune of appearing in the Logger's Bark - life-changing!

Despite my appearance - another superb issue from Dave and the Radio Club of Tacoma!

Another great article, thanks for sharing. I had the pleasure of working with Adam - W2NCC this past event and he is a great guy. Though I don’t always agree with him on his theories and predictions on amateur radio, he and RCOT are certainly doing it right. Keep up the great work!
