Hello all, I just started using MacLogger and I like it very much. But I do have a question in regards to confirmations. On my QRZ log I have about 40 or so confirmations but when I used the XML file to import to MacLogger I did not get any confirmation credit. One QSO did initially turn green but after I looked again all QSO's logged were black indication no confirmations. I don't know if there is an issue between QRZ and MacLogger or if I have somehow, once again, done something wrong. Any information would be a help. Thanks and 73's de Ed K3ENV
Ed, A QRZ confirmation occurs when 2 hams have entered directly or uploaded a QSO from their logging program and the info matches - date/time/band/mode. If one of the hams doesn't upload to QRZ or the info doesn't match, there won't be an automatic QRZ QSL/Confirmation. I wasn't clear if you were bringing QRZ info to MacLogger or loading data from your MacLogger program into QRZ. If you were loading QRZ info into MacLogger, there's probably nothing that knows about QRZ QSLs like MacLogger knows about eQSL or LoTW QSLs. I don't use the program but didn't see anything obvious on the MacLogger features page. David - K2DSL
Each logging system that includes a confirmation feature has its own confirmation rule that must be satisfied. While it may be that some are identical, that is coincidental; hence one cannot expect that a confirmation earned in one system will necessarily carry over to another.
