Hi I am 2E1ADT but i have just got my new callsign which is M9ADT how do i had that to my QRZ page as at the moment it is 2E1ADT as my Main call sign. Thanks in advance
@2E1ADT, Post your request in this QRZ forum: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/qrz-site-community-help-center.19/
Please submit a support ticket at https://ssl.qrz.com/support requesting a callsign and user name change from 2E1ADT to M9ADT. Once you receive notification that it has been completed, log out and then log back in using M9ADT as your username but with the same password you previously used. This is a routine request and should only take a few hours to complete once you submit the support ticket.
I'm in a similar situation. I'm currently a UK Foundation holder with an M7 callsign but about to take my "Direct to Full". Fingers crossed I pass that. Once I eventually have an M0 full licence call, I suspect Ofcom will revoke my M7 call shortly afterwards. With that in mind, do I raise a ticket once I have my new call sign, or run 2 profiles until my M7 is revoked? Given its a different licence class, rather than a change of callsign for the same class (ie 2E1 -> M9 as the previous example)? If my profile is simply changed from M7 to M0xxx, will my logbook on QRZ still show all the contacts I've made using my M7 callsign prior to the change, or will it re-name all my contacts M0xxx, or will those logs simply vanish? If it's the latter, I'll just have to download them offline if I want to keep them I guess.
Yes, follow the same procedure once you have your new callsign. Submit a callsign change request and it will happen pretty quickly. You will still have your M7 logbook, all of your QSOs/QSLs, and awards -- they don't go away -- but you'll need to start another logbook as each logbook can only be assigned to a single callsign. You'll find that it is a fairly smooth transition, all in all, as long as you follow the procedure.
