LotW problem in Windows 2000

    Thanks. I ran the gamut with the ARRL LotW support people. Their final statement: "It must be a Win2K problem and we can't help you".

    Apparently "Permission denied" is not a sufficiently serious error to make it in to any event logs.

    Did you check if there is an updated version of the TQSLCERT.EXE program ?

    Does the TQSLCERT.EXE program creates a log file ? maybe you would find useful information in it.

    Did you make any modifications in Windows 2000 after installing it and before installing your certificate ?

    --I first experienced the problem under 1.10. I DL'd the latest (1.11) and have same problem.

    --Apparently no log file.

    --Only "modification" was to update to Service Pack 4.

    Maybe you could try to uninstall SP4, install the certificate and reinstall SP4 ?

    May I suggest Linux -- Windows has too many issues that haven't been properly addressed -- network security and the rampant virii on the Internet being the glaring example.
