    Loren M. Miller, W0RNH SK


    Loren Miles Miller, born on May 25, 1917 in Federal Dam, Minnesota, to the late Selma Satter Miller and the late Joseph Miller, passed away at age 101 on July 27, 2018 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
    Loren graduated from George Weitbrecht Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, MN.
    He was an employee at the Federal Aviation Agency until retiring in 1963 and then worked at the California Division of Highways Engineering Services until retiring in 1972.
    Loren was married on June 20, 1963 to the love of his life, the late Iris Miller.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pat Miller.

    He loved Ham radio operation (W9NZG). He was a member of the Center for Active Generations and had many performances and skits with one of his best friends, June Bevirt.

    Loren loved to play the organ and wrote many humorous songs which he would sing upon request even at his 101st birthday party.

    Loren is survived by his son Robert Miller, brother-in-law Peter Gardiner of Essex, England, second cousins Jim and Joy Miller, Minneapolis, nephews Robin and Peter Rash
    and good friends Mark and Holly Peterson of Tea.

    A memorial service was held at the Good Sam Village.
