Ohhh, I'm screwed
No K4 this Christmas.
OK, my # of lookups has gone up by several hundred in the last few hours. I'm pretty sure the President doesn't know my call sign.
I've also wondered how people can have >100,000 lookups. Are they on the air 24/7? I see a couple of Cuban stations on FT8 every time I get on the air, but I figured they are robots.
I haven't posted much on QRZ forums. Wouldn't explain this very recent surge.
Big contesters can VERY EASILY have 100,000+ lookups.
Can you tell us who has the most "legit" look-ups of them all?
Another possibility is scammer has hijacked your callsign to use on sme ham gear for-sale site or ebay, and people are checking it out to see if it is legit. Seems to happen a lot these days.
or, there may be some big contester or dxer with a similar callsign and a lot of people are cooying it wrong, and looking it up.
No way that I'm aware of to do that. I am, however able to see those who have "fudged their number" but my lips are sealed
Don't put too much stock in those numbers - many factors are at play: web spider "robots", people who openly inflate (or deflate!) the visible number, etc.
Think of it more like "web hit counters" - sort of a guide but not to be taken too seriously
