Long shot...but my elmer passed .any years ago and we lost contact as I started my career and moved away. His name is Fredrick "Fritz" Barkhau WB8ZOF from Cincinnati, Ohio. I remember him working a California Hawaii net on 14.305 regularly. Hoping to maybe obtain a photo of him for my shack. Thanks WL7JW
Have you tried searching his call on google? I ask because a friend of ours told me her grandpa used to be a ham. I searched his call and found someone selling QSL cards - one of which was her grandpa's QSL card to a ham in 1934. I bought the card ($5) and gave it to her. She was touched to see something in his handwriting floating around on the internet from way back. I know it's not a picture, but a nice piece of radio memorabilia.
