    Hi

I am new to HAM radio, based in the UK, still working on my license so no callsign yet apart from my SWL listeners code.

I'm looking for info on a logging setup.

What i want is a way to record my QSO details and then view them on a world map.

I also want to connect with my FLDigi and WSJT-X software installs for either manual or auto logging of QSO’s

I'm not too worried about about rig control as the software I have does that for me, currently using an SDRPlay RSP1a for SWL and have a Xiegu G90 setup ready to go for license day ;)

Do i also need stuff like eQSL, LoTW? - I am not sure what these are used for or do.

I need to keep costs down but I think I'll need a QRZ subscription for pulling down contact data in FLDigi and WSJT-X etc?

Any help much appreciated, BTW I run my radio software on PC but want my logging on the MAC laptop - all on the network so fully connected, I do have a PC if this not possible.

I also need a way to add entries for voice QSO's and view them on the map.

Have been looking but its a minefield :)

    Many thanks

Looks like i can do what i need with the following...

    QRZ subscription for data collection
    N3FJP Call Log for Logging
    QSOMAP for map display

For logging to your Mac, the three most commonly used programs are:

Aether by AC7CF, RUMlog by DL2RUM, and MacLoggerDX.

Check the Macintosh sub-forum under "Computers, Hardware, and Operating Systems"

Thanks for that, RumLog looks ideal and I'm testing it now.
