Long Time Ham in The Hospital

I just want to take this opportunity to inform many of you that a long time Ham, w0puf is in the hospital and not doing well at this time. I am sure there are many many of you that he has qso'd with over the years, and many of you are personal friends of his.

Alan was my inspiration to become a ham and go all the way to extra so this news is particularly disturbing to me. I am sure his family, me included, would appreciate your prayers. He's the best and did much to further our hobby and better our lives. He embodies the perfect ham experimenter and has talent, and a shack, many of us only dream of.

 

An update on w0puf. Alan has been non-responsive and likely will not recover. Those of you who know him knows what a loss to the community this is. At this time they are giving family the opportunity to say good-bye. He will not be able to live off of life support. I will post any future information as it becomes available to me.
