i currently only talk on 6 meters for DX & contesting. my computer is not in the shack. i hand write pertinent contact info on a contest logging sheet. at the end of a good day(night), i WOULD LIKE TO transfer that info to a progam on my computer. i don't need/want the most sophisticated of programs, i just want to keep track of grid squares, & know when i've previouly talked to a person, & whether or not confirming QSL's were sent. my question is, does anybody know/use one from the QRZ downloads section of logging programs, that'll do what i'm looking for?

XMLog is free and will easily do what you want. It's a very good general-purpose and award-tracking logger (and thus not a good contest logger).

I don't know if it's in QRZ's downloads, but you can download it free from www.xmlog.com

I recommend Ham Radio Deluxe. Easy to use and has other features you may grow into. Like radio control, mapping, shortwave schedules, DX clusters, etc. Zero cost to you.
