On Wednesday Nov. 22, the President signed H.R.2346 into law (for news coverage, see Yahoo, for bill details go to thomas.loc.gov and search for "HR2346").

This essentially authorizes state and local authorities to enforce FCC regulations concerning CB radio. Although the law seems to be rather narrowly written to avoid troubling other radio services, could this be a dangerous precedent? Or is it a long-overdue move to rein in an out-of-control segment of the spectrum?
