Letting go....I'm having trouble deciding to change my call from 2x3 to 1x3.

Look at it this way: A 2x3 has 6 characters. A 1x2 or 2x1 has 4 characters. So if you're keying by hand, you have 33% less chance of screwing up with the shorter callsign.

I received my call as a novice in 84. My goal was to change it to an extra class call. Did the upgrade in 90 and all the "good" calls were gone so I kept it and will be the last call I have. I guess it is a part of my identification in life. My vote...keep it

I'm going to submit the form tonight for the N4WCC call. I'm going to list it as my #1 choice. Should I also list my other choices ( i only have 3) in the event the N4WCC gets taken?

I actually do as well. In addition to other near useless numbers. I had credit cards and debit cards memorized for years, unintentionally.

Keep your call OM. There has been only one @KI4WCC in the history of ham radio, why take someone else’s’ previously held call?

I remember my license number, heck I remember my locker combination from high school, I’ll be dipped if I can remember my wife’s birthday however.
