My favorite is the "I am running a FULL" crowd, here in VK its I am running a full 400w. I want to know, can you run a half empty 400w, a lacking or insufficient 400w. Saying full legal limit i get, but a full 400w just sounds redundant and stupid.

I've never heard the term "full crowd". However, I've heard the term "full gallon" used to refer to a kilowatt.

More like a "I didn't really interpret quotation marks correctly" thing

    I knew what you meant....

Quotation marks had nothing to do with it. I knew what he meant also. I just never heard the term full crowd before. Yes, it must be an Aussie thing.

Quoting: My favorite is the "I am running a FULL" crowd

He's referencing the 'crowd' who prefaces their sentence with "I am running a FULL" ... fill in the blank. "I am running a FULL gallon" - "I am running a FULL 400 watts" etc.

He never said "I am running a FULL crowd" - that's quite different.

It's a punctuation thing... Aussie or otherwise :)

I'm a little slow tonight! I see what you mean now. Thanks for pointing that out.

"Elmer" and "rag chewing" are two terms I have never used, nor will ever use in discussing it with those that may be interested in the hobby.

Then, you must not like the term "eyeball QSO" either.
