The devastating event of the earthquakes in Turkey is very alarming and it needs to be scrutinized at what can be done to detect these events before they occur.

The RF-Seismograph is a community funded science project by experiment .com and gofundme.com, providing accurate propagation for the Pacific North West at www.rf-seismograph.org.

One aspect that is often overlooked is the effect of the travelling ionospheric shock waves (lamb waves) that emanate from the event. Since shortwave radio waves need the ionosphere to be able to communicate, the extremely fast (Mach 10) shock-waves will race around the planet and will be detectable via short wave radio as a change of propagation and noise level.

To highlight the change, the additional energy made we have released the data one day before the event, with a total of quake energy output of only 20.1 TJ (Tera Jules) for Feb. 5th. Notice how flat the recorded noise lines are especially between 00:00 UTC to 16:00 UTC (except for the 20 m band)

As the quakes started (see below) with the M7.8 at 01:17 UTC, it was followed by a M6.7 11 minutes later. The delay from the actual event, which occurred 10.000 km away, was 43 min. When it shows up at the RF-Seismograph and to actually prove that the event recorded was the quake from Turkey, the second peak exactly followed 11 min later as a lower event, because it was only a M6.7 quake. The measurement becomes un-reliable after, because the shock-wave races around the planet. Additionally the strong aftershocks add to the dispersing of the ionosphere. A total energy disbursal was 17500 TJ (an almost 1000 fold increase) of quake energy for the day, mostly by the unrest in Turkey.

The RF-Seismograph currently only has one location. Our second location is in New Port Oregon and it will back on the air in a few weeks. A third location will be in the east of Kelowna starting in the spring 2023.

If you are interested to host a RF-Seismograph please join rf-seismograph.org ‘s user group at https://groups.io/g/MDSRadio. You will also receive our daily “propagation vs. USGS detected quakes daily report issuede after 00:00 UTC, which are optional.

Science is always more interesting when viewed with an open mind.

    Thank you very much;

heres your answer: HAARP weapon was used to cause this earthquake

Very interesting on the speed of the shock waves and effect on propagtion.

Turn off your tv and read a book. This is not a movie.

Do tell us all how you provide propagation. Please.

We in New England would like some propagation, too.

I'm not sure how an atmospheric compression wave can have any influence over an electromagnetic wave. Maybe I have missed something here...

Why was the 20m band especially affected? Presumably the earthquake releases some EM radiation at that frequency?

Maybe you should read up about lamb waves. They're not atmospheric. These are waves travelling through plates (tectonics plates in this case) or spheres (the earth).

And compression of solid material can result in electricity. Take a look at an ligher with a piezo ingition. Piezo effect also happens in MLCC capacitors (microphonic effect). Take an oscilloscope, disconnect the probes, set it to the highest sensitivity and tap on the BNC connector of an input or even just on the top of the case. Then watch the trace on the screen.

So if that is already easy to demonstrate, then why is it so hard to accept that a massive compression involving Terajoules of energy can release electric fields from the tectonic plates at such a scale that they influence the ionosphere?

Nice to know some are thinking and understand the science. I think many cannot comprehend much past the basics like Superbowl Sunday and TV show themes.

Reference in Post #10 says Lamb waves exist in the atmosphere, but propagate at sonic velocity. OP please post a reference explaining how supersonic Lamb waves are formed & why they only propagate at Mach 10 & not some other velocity. Supplemental question: can we hear their sonic booms on the ground?
