I hope this makes it to market. I've been pining for a QRP rig with at least the water resistant properties of my cell phone for quite some time.

My current 'waterproof' qrp rig is a bear to carry...

Yep. Humped the one for the 74. That's one sweet old rig you got there. Have you seen N6CC's website? N6CC.com

    I have, thank you.

I had a Delco 1500 that I gave to a friend, more in line with low weight these days.

I have a KX2, but this new Chinaradio is claimed to be waterproof and the photos of the gaskets seem to be believable.

The 'best' .mil HF rig I used while active was a PRC-104, but they are just stupid expensive these days.

Not certain but I believe the radio is being produced in Russia, not China. At least that’s where the Lab599.com domain name is registered. It’s a nice looking piece of gear.

SGT: "What's that, private...you don't want to carry an M2 tripod or the mortar baseplate. No problem, we have something just for you! Enjoy!"

It's - to me - a nuisance all this announcing well beforehand and then no show or not delivering for a half a year, a year or even longer.
LAB599 is such a company and so is Icom, the latter being unsurpassed in this.

They're all afraid people going to the competition in the mean time. Pff..

I cranked one of those one field day, never again.

Web site mentions available Autumn 2019 now. As Icom it takes them forever.
