    No tuner

    I do see this, perhaps, cutting into the KX2 market niche...but with no tuner, maybe not.

    SWLing dot com will be running a detailed review soon. The rig, as I understand it is in the mail for his review.

    I’ll keep checking there to see what is post. Going to have to pretty eye watering to beat the KX2 or KX3.

    You can buy a whole lot of QRP tuner for the price of the KX2 tuner. Not as convenient, sure, but definitely doable.

    The TX-500 comes with a mic, the KX2 does not. TX-500 has interesting input jacks but at least it comes with adapters for them. I/Q out is another huge pro for the TX-500 over the KX2.

    Obviously, the proof will be in the pudding, but if it really does everything they say it does I think a fair number of people will go for it. I think this one will be popular.

    Don't mind the lack of tuner, but wish it had a SWR scan/chart like the X5105.
