    John C. Sedenquist, Sr, KY4H SK

    Mr. John Charles Sedenquist, Sr., age 77, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, March 27th, 2020 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

    Mr. Sedenquist was born on July 1st, 1942 in Niagara Falls, Michigan to the late Walter Sedenquist and Harriett Haggerson Sedenquist.

    He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Della Jamison; siblings, Fred Sedenquist and Helen Clements.

    Mr. Sedenquist was a member of the West Point Presbyterian Church in West Point, Georgia. He was also an ordained deacon.

    He worked as an Alabama State Trooper in his younger years. He later went on to work and retire as a computer programmer for West Point Stevens. He was a member of the Masonic brotherhood where he was a 50 year member of Lodge #516. He served as a past Master of Lodge #516. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite.

    Due to the current gathering restrictions, funeral services will be private.

    A public memorial service for friends and family will be planned and announced at a later date.

    Mr. Sedenquist is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Sedenquist; children, Chuck (Jennifer) Sedenquist; Chris (Melissa) Robinson, Shain (Shannon) Lott; grandchildren, Brett Adcox, Keirsten Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Jackson Sedenquist; great-granddaughter, Nataleigh Adcox.

    Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Valley is directing.
