    Frank became an SK in April of 2009. He was a good friend and elmer. It doesn't appear the notice made it to the forums.

    Mr. Frank Allen Silverthorne, age 48, a resident of 244 Shady Banks Beach Rd., Washington died Monday April 27, 2009.

    Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 29, 2009 at First Christian Church of Washington and will be conducted by Dr. Michael Price and Rev. Amanda Hesbach.
    Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Jesse Ray Dail, Milton Ray Dail, Jr., Gilbert Thomas Silverthorne Tanner, Jon Thomas Booker, Edward Warren Boyd, Raymond Lee Latham, Jr., James William Meier and Troy Cecil Dees will serve as pallbearers.

    Mr. Silverthorne was born in Forsyth Co. on August 3, 1960 to Dr. Ray Guilford Silverthorne who survives and Lell Rankin Gooch Silverthorne who preceded Frank in death on August 27, 1997. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1978 and East Carolina University. He attended Atlantic Christian College and the Carolina School of Broadcasting. He was employed with WFXI and WITN. Mr. Silverthorne was a member of First Christian Church of Washington.

    Survivors his father, Dr. Ray G. Silverthorne and his step mother Hilda P. Silverthorne, one brother, Ray G. Silverthorne, Jr. and wife Courtney of Vanceboro, three sisters, Betty Faye Dail and husband Milton of Washington, Patricia Lammers and husband Gary of Cincinnati, OH, Connie Tanner and husband Tom of King George, VA, and several nieces and nephews, Jesse Dail and wife Casey, Milton Dail Jr., Robert Dail, Rebecca Dail, Lell Lammers, Ruth Lammers, Mary Grace Lammers, Erin Tanner, Gil Tanner, Ray Celeste Tanner and Anna Beth Tanner.

    The family received friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington.

    Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Washington, 401 E. 2nd St. Washington, NC 27889.
