    Truman Gowens, 93, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Graham. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.



    Truman was born May 20, 1925 in Young County to the late James William and Zena Blanche (Choate) Gowens. He married Velma Ford in 1946. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2017. Truman was a retired employee of Hexcel Corporation and a member of Salem Crestview United Methodist Church.He was a long time Amateur Radio operator and was very active in the Lake country Amateur Radio Clube for many years, he was reponsible for keeping the 2 meter repeters on the air ......https://www.morrisonfuneralhome.com/notices/Truman-Gowens

    Truman Gowens, 93, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Graham. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

    Survivors include: daughter, JoAnn Oler and husband, Ralph of Baytown; son, Kenneth Gowens and wife, Pam of Irving; daughter-in-law, Helen Robinson and husband, Brent; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by son, Charles Gowens, daughter, Patricia Ward, granddaughter, Amy Gowens, brothers, Rex and Preston, and a sister, Ruth Lyman.
