Kenwood TS-590 or Icom IC-7410 as main HF/6M rig -- which is better, pros and cons?

    Hi,another rig I don't think has been mentioned is the Yaesu ftdx-1200.
    I have had the kenwood and icom and can tell you the 1200 is worth a look..no overshoot at all and a very clean Transmission..73.

    Based on Yahoo group posts ALL of the modern rigs from Icom Kenwood Yeasu have ALC overshoot and low SSB power issues. Not sure if that is really the case but that is the perception. :(

    I wonder if ( as I read on the net ) is you increased the DC supply voltage from 13.8 to the upper limit if these problems do not go away or at least, diminish somewhat.

    I run my Icom 7600 at 15.0 VDC and have no issues ....... ( Icom says run it at 13.8 VDC +/-15% )
