    Hello,

I'm trying to use FTP on my Kenwood TS-570SG. I do have a SignaLink.

I've tried to figure out how to do this, to no avail. Is it even doable?

According to the SignaLink USB Product guide, the model number for the complete Signalink is SLUSB13K, the number for the cable is SLCAB13K, and the number for the jumper module is SLMOD13K.

If you already have a SignaLink, order the last two to get it to work with your TS-570SG.

If you already have the correct cable and jumper, then you have a problem with settings, not hardware.

Thanks. But does this apply to the 570SG? These instructions are for the 590SG.

It would be great if they did.

    Oh, my bad!
I keep misreading your posts -- thinking that you have the '590.
    Apologies for the confusion.

Anyway ... since the '570 does not have an internal sound card, yes you can use the SignaLink to run FT8.

If you don't already have it, you need the cable to connect the SignaLink to the radio:
Part #SLUSB8PD - For 8-pin DIN Data / Accessory Port Connector

The SignaLink jumper settings for the '570 are on their web site:
    https://www.tigertronics.com/sl_wirebm.htm#KENWOOD

TigerTronics has info on setting up WSJT-X FT8 software:
    https://tigertronics.com/pgmsetup.htm

For more information, take at a look at:

For a video guide to using WSJT-X look at:

Thanks so much! No apology necessary, of course.

The part number listed above is for Icom rigs with an 8 pin connector, while the TS-570SG ACC2 connector is a 13 pin design.

Also, the part number listed is for the SignaLink with cable, not just the cable. (All of the USB models look like SLUSBxxx and the cable only models look like SLCABxxx.)

The best idea is to go to the Tigertronics site and download their product guide, then look up your radio. Then you won't have any doubt.
