Kenwood TS-570D transmit/tune problem

    Did you do a FULL "factory reset" after replacing the battery? Also, disconnect ALL external devices (key, microphone, etc.) and see if it operates normally; use an appropriate dummy load.

    I have seen the problem numerous times but was giving the easy fixes. If that's not it then look for a leaky cap on the PTT line. To confirm check the voltage on Pin 2 of the mic jack. If less than 5 volts a cap is leaking.

    KA5IPF, Thanks a lot for the advice, bought the TS570 3 days ago, working perfectly, suddenly no tx,,, panic,,, found your posts and yes, a sticky button on the MC60,, all good now, cheers and beers. Happy New Year de GI4SZW
