I've been getting into SWLing lately. As a natural cross over from Operating on HF bands I became curious about listening on the go and I can upon this radio. I realized the value of having a radio with wide banded RX from 0.1 mhz to 1300mhz with capabilities to monitor usb and lsb for most of that spectrum. The fact that its a full 5watts on all 3 2m, 1.25m, and 70cm is incredible for a unit of this size. Here are my thoughts from a beginners perspective in the swling hobby with some sound samples.
