Has anyone edited a repeater list file (.tsv) in either Excel or Numbers and then exported it back to the TH-D74?

I've tried with both the above programs and I get an error message when trying to re-import using MCP-D74, "The language of the selected repeater list file differs from the language of the TH-D74". I've tried all three options with my TH-D74E, but no luck.

I'm not sure why you are attempting to edit the repeater list in Excel or numbers, because Kenwood provides free software, ( MCP D-74 ) which makes it very easy to import, export and edit any parameters you wish including editing the repeater list, changing configuration and adding or deleting other features.

I was attempting to add a "Hotspots" category and move all the other entries down by 2 in the listings. I'm using MCP-D74 to transfer the memories, but it's editing capabilities don't quite do what I'd like.

Hi guys! I'm having problems with my TH-D74A. I cannot connect it via USB to AGW Packet Engine nor many other softwares, i can connect it via BlueTooth, but not via USB (I've already installed the viartual COM port driver). Any of you knows if this is a firmware bug? I have Version 1.08. Thank you and sorry for my bad english, i'm from Argentina! 73, LU5YUS.

Hi. Has anyone else experienced a problem trying to delete the APRS complete message list? Deleting single messages is exactly as per the guide, but holding the A/B button in, for any reasonable length of time, doesn't show the Clear All option and leaves you having to remove them laboriously one at a time. 73 de G8VVY.

There doesn't appear to be a way to clear the complete message list, unlike with the list of APRS/packet stations heard under the 5 key (from that listing, press MENU to find "Clear All") or the listing of stations heard in D-Star (MENU > Digital > RX History > View History, then press and hold the MODE button to see the "Clear All?" prompt).

Keep in mind that older messages do not scroll off the listing under the 4 (MSG) key, as new messages are received. The TH-D74 will only handle up to 100 messages, regardless of whether you sent or received the messages. If there are 100 messages already in the listing, you will not be able to create a new message. When your radio receives what would be the 101st message, it will reject the incoming message by sending a REJ packet back to the station sending the message. This appears to be how Kenwood intended APRS messaging to work on this radio. IIRC this is also the same for the TH-D72, and maybe even other Kenwood APRS-capable radios.

You asked this in another section of the QRZ forum on Monday, and your question was answered there. Yes, the TH-D74 will receive in that range in AM, using VFO B (lower VFO on the display). It appears the E versions sold in Europe will do this, just like the A versions sold in North America.
